First Beach in La Push has the largest driftwood I've ever seen. I LIVE on a driftwood beach in Washington but it's nothing like this one. One piece was 3 times as tall as my 6 ft. spouse. There were surfers in the big waves which was interesting to watch. Of course they had full-body wetsuits on, as it's cold.

From the parking area off of La Push Road it's a 0.7-mile one-way jaunt on a well-maintained trail through Pacific Northwest coastal forest.
